revisiting Tesla - Toyota Rav4 EV

I've changed my mind on TSLA.  I was afraid of the IPO, because most fall once all of the Venture Capitalist investors exit, but TSLA's price is still hanging in there.  Maybe this is because the Venture Capitalists haven't made their exit yet, I'm not sure, but I do know that this company has been hyped for sometime.  The technology is certainly attractive, even is the Tesla cars never become mainstream, see this Toyota deal:

The biggest problem I have with this deal is that no one wants to buy a Rav 4 anymore!  Couldn't they have spent the money on something cooler?  something Tesla Roadster cool?  ...maybe a Tesla powered Scion TC.  (I apologize if you own a Rav4, but you know you in your heart of hearts that you "settled" for it after dreaming about other models.)

The design is a generation ahead of anything else out there.  With the Nissan Leaf and Chevy Volt, other major manufacturers are going to have to jump in.  Now that gas has hit over $3 a gallon again, electric cars will be revisited by consumers.  If it does tank as so many new stocks do in their first year, then I will double-down and buy some more.

Bought 35 TSLA@ $27.52
